This is a beautiful very famous Russian red Orskaya scenery Jasper Beads Dangle 925 Silver Leverback Earrings. Beads are 1.9mm twisted and 8mm round. This Jasper come from unique Polkovnik Mt. deposit situated in the Orsk Dist., Orenburg Region, South Ural. Polkovnik Mt. deposit was discovered on the bank of the Or River in 1755. There, in weathering crusts, funded blocks of red Orskaya jasper, which is represented with monochromatic, stripped, landscape and polychromatic varieties, various in patterns and tones. Today the commercial exploration of Orskaya Jasper deposit is not develop. The color of jasper depends mainly on oxides of iron and manganese. Depending on their oxidation level, Orskaya jasper can be red, yellow, brown and green of various tones.
